About Me:

I started out in the scrapbooking world eight years ago. I wanted to have a hobby and I wanted to be able to create a record of my children as they grew up. Scrapbooking was a great combination of those two ideals.

While surfing on the web, I stumbled on to the topic of digital scrapbooking. This looked amazing.

But I had one small problem; I was terrified of some of the creative software out there! They were overwhelming for me as a complete novice. I felt like there was so much that I wanted to do but I just couldn’t spend the time to figure out how to get it done. After downloading the free trial of ACDSee Photo Editor I became absolutely hooked. It has so many of the features I need, but is so much easier to use. Photo Editor seems to have been made with the digital scrapbooker in mind. Imagine being able to put type on a path with one click.

I was even more excited when I began using ACDSee Photo Manager to organize my virtual scrap supplies. I found so many files of things I didn’t even know I had, it was like going shopping for free! And because I was able to find elements and papers so much easier and faster, literally with one or two mouse clicks, I was able to spend more time actually scrapping.

When I use Photo Editor together with Photo Manager, I can find exactly what I’m looking for and drag it right into my Photo Editor layout. Now I can view my pictures, gather my elements and papers and create a layout that looks amazing in no time. Because, in the end, I don’t want to be just scrapping pictures of my family, I want to be creating the memories that will be scrapped.

I post most often at my Digi-Scrap home, Oscraps.com. I am Cheery-O, or a cheerleader, over there. Come visit my gallery. I love to give and get scrappy-love.

I also keep myself busy with my aromatherapy business, Faery-Wings Apothecary. And I (very) occasionally blog The Musings of Faery-Wings . I keep thinking I should blog more, and maybe someday I will.
