I have used Blurb to create a few different photo books.
I really love their software and the fact that you can download it to your computer and not have to be online to use it. I also love that it uses your OWN fonts, rather than having to use their limited stock fonts. The "slurp" feature, pulling your text from your blog, is wonderful and time saving. I don't like that it automatically formats it for you, however, and it did take a while to reformat it how I wanted it to look.
I have purchased the 7x7 hard cover with a wrap. It's a high quality book, and I was happy not only with the quality, but also with the price. The printing was slightly darker than I'd like, and than the original file. But with the second time around, I knew this to be the case and just lightened all my photos slightly. Second go-round was perfect.
I have not had the need for customer service, other than asking about printing and color correction. Since they don't use color correction (according to their customer service), I knew that I had to take responsibility for lightening my own images. Easy enough!
